Day 91 Friday 6.iv.2018

Busy day sorting out gear at Halfords (lights for caravan, fuses and bulbs and distilled water and triangles and alcohol testers for the car) and meeting up with Charles at Rachel and Tom's in Corsham.

I seem to be spending money like water, but I don't think I'm wasting it or being silly.

Lovely lunch with Oliver, Henry and Monty, who match Felicity's in age, but are all twice as big. Tried to visit Ed of the Edspace and Chiselandgrain, in Frome, but couldn't find him and ran out of time. Back at 5 to babysit the babies while Felicity and Steve went to Bath to watch Jonathan Pie ranting.

The babies were fine but I found the evening with two bottles of whisky a bit of a strain. Resisted the temptation apart from a nip. Funny how strange it tasted - like whisky used to taste, years ago, and not very nice, and I knew one more would be fatal. Should have made more of an effort to get some NA beer in (the silly CoOp in Frome had no low alcohol beer of any kind).

F & S took the children to Peppa Pig Land somewhere near Poole for Alba's birthday treat. They were not disappointed (all four year olds agree that Peppa Pig Land offers you everything you ever wanted, and then some), but they were very tired when they got back and went to bed very quietly. My table is pretty much done - just need to sand it down and pretty it up a bit. It has a perspex top, which might be safer for now than glass.
