Day 30 Sunday 4.ii.2018

Seems like an age since the British Sherry incident. I would have been on Day 120 in old money.

Next job - put up the worktop and kitchen sink and the bathroom walls (and make sure Andrew and Delyth can actually get to the loo and the shower).

Finally did my laundry - I've managed pretty well considering I packed for less than a week and I've been here for what feels like a month. In fact it's only been 2 weeks and a couple of days, but very intense.

Didn't really sleep, too wired and stayed up too late. Weird Irish dreams - I knew everyone, recognised nobody, ditto the houses. A lot of partying and I seemed to be being expected to play good old mad Uncle Dave.

J-C and his bro' Bruno arrived at 7.30 for coffee and a briefing. They got stuck in good and proper. Unfortunately its raining but they'll store it all in the Salon for now, and then use Bruno's van to get it up the hill.

Lovely mass in Liguge with the monks. Nice warm modern church (but very Romanesque). Got back to find J-C and Bruno have filled the Salon with furniture. Andrew & Delyth very pleased with the Edspace (so far!). Starting walling and cutting worktops.

Bruno and J-C moved everything from the first floor into the herbergerie (drier they thought than the ecurie). Didn't finish until 7pm.

Had a two hour rest / sleep and then back to work on the edspace. Roast lamb for supper - delicious - no gravy, arggh, lovely roast potatoes.

Finally had a useful discuss on Skype with Laurence and Giovanni about the farm. Think we're getting somewhere. Andrew worried his budget's going to be raided, which would not be fair.

doing washing up and locking up the house and letting the fucking cats in and out like yo yos until nearly 11pm. Very tempted by the thought of a nip of whisky, but then it would be the same tomorrow, and more the night after and we'd be back to square one. A nice cup of tea and a fag and bed. and Day 31 tomorrow.

it's snowing but not really settling. cold and windy.
